"You have been a refuge for the poor, a refuge for the needy in their distress, a shelter from the storm and a shade from the heat. For the breath of the ruthless is like a storm driving against a wall." - Isaiah 25:4

I have always wanted to do a storm scene, the main problem I overcame was trying to be like Rembrandt van Rijn or J. M. W. Turner and to simply find a voice that was uniquely my own. This composition was birthed from spontaneous creativity, I did not look at any reference imagery and simply created a piece. To create this, I used Aaron Blaise's brushes (specifically, his Cloud Brushes and Water Brushes - which you can find here). Overall, this took roughly an hour and a half to complete. I had a lot of fun doing this and will continue to do landscapes such as this in the future. The title of this composition, "Isaiah 25:4", is in reference to the Bible verse.
